Caravanas de Mexico Tour Guides

Bringing Pets to Mexico

City in Mexico

The Caravanas de Mexico Caravan company offers small tours led by wagonmasters who speak fluent French, English, and Spanish. They know Mexico inside and out. Sr. Gabriel Romero owner-leader spends the spring and summer months scouring Mexico to arrange the most unique experiences for you to have an unforgettable winter in Mexico

Hot off the Presses! – There is room on Spring Baja, plus Spring Copper Canyon, which has an “almost free” 2-month beach stay option. See the update page for details.

Yucatan is Full for 2022 and is also full for 2023, but dropouts will occur once we ask for a deposit, I am sure. Airstream Road, Rail & Sea (Baja) is full, but I believe there may be one or 2 spots open on 3 Gems (Colonial Mexico). Copper Canyon 2023 is filling fast.

If the idea of spending the winter in the warm lands of Mexico appeals to you, I cordially invite you to participate in our next RV Caravan. This caravan will focus on training new Wagon Masters and updating experienced ones. The caravan will be led by our Canadian partner Paul Beddows. Details of upcoming trips on site. 2022 is pretty much full. But there ARE still a few openings and cancellations happening for various reasons.  Hie thee over to the Caravanas website and see if this is your lucky day. They keep the groups small, preferring quality over quantity. That’s rare these days. If you are really lucky, Santa may reward you with a Yucatan opening.

Go to their website and look at the calendar. Their site is in  English, French, and Spanish.

Some RV caravan companies’ businesses are cookie-cutter, focused on the cheapest (and often booziest) experience they can sell you. I admire anyone who leads a group of potentially unruly RV’ers down Mexico’s highways. I just wouldn’t go with some of them. Mexico RV Caravans (Caravanas de Mexico) are different. If they have to spend extra money to give you a great experience, they will. businessThat’s why I endorse Caravanas de Mexic

Meet Your Host

Gabriel Romero, is a Mexican Tourism Department trained guide Caravanas is incorporated in Mexico Awards Sr. Romero and crew know and understand Mexico. They’ll give you a Mexican perspective that might be missing from similar trips run by a fellow gringo

To caravan or go solo?

It’s a matter of preference. Mexico is safe for RV’ers so people don’t caravan because of fear. They caravan because they like the experience. If you can’t get on with Caravanas, rather than take a lesser quality caravan company, you might consider driving yourself.

For your first drive to Mexico, being part of a caravan is comforting. Someone else makes the decisions, handles the check-ins, and arranges the tours. Plus you can make friends at the social events held every night.

But — if you go by yourself, you are not alone. If you get one of Mexico Mike’s famous road logs, you will have a friend on the front seat who’s driven your route and can point out what is worth seeing and what to avoid. With the modern toll roads, mile-by-mile directions are not really needed. Directions to RV parks are clear. And you have the advantage of going at your own pace.

    1. Why thanks, Alain. I try to be careful and honest. Appreciate the comment, but “God” might be a stretch. “Good” is good enough from this weary on writer.
