Mexico Insurance for Tamaulipas Drivers
If you are driving your own vehicle into Tamaulipas, make sure you have Mexican auto insurance before crossing the border.
Even if your U.S. carrier provides some Mexico coverage, U.S. policies are not recognized by Mexican authorities for damage you cause to others. At minimum, travelers should carry Liability Only coverage from a Mexican carrier.
